Pink Martini will be joined throughout the night by the strings of the Harvey Rosencrantz Orchestra and in the finale by the Samba Bateria of the Lions of Batucada. Tickets go on sale Saturday, October 29 at 10am at all Ticketmaster outlets and the PCPA Box Office.

Pink Martini is particularly excited to welcome as special guest bandleader Thomas Lauderdale’s favorite singer, the jazz legend Jimmy Scott, in a rare appearance. Jimmy Scott’s heartbreakingly fragile, eggshell vibrato, keening falsetto, and languid, floating style of jazz phrasing, like Pink Martini’s romantic sound, turns hurt into hope and longing.

The two concerts will be filmed by Oregon Public Broadcasting for a future public television program to be broadcast internationally. Additionally, a portion of the concerts will be aired nationwide by National Public Radio’s program “Toast of the Nation.” The NPR program follows time zones across the United States broadcasting events as the New Year’s hour approaches. NPR has chosen Pink Martini’s concert to represent the Pacific Standard Time zone.
