All Girl Summer Fun Band is a pop-rock trio from Portland. 2008 marks the 10th year these ladies have been charming Portland with their pop brilliance. A sound that started out as clean and sweet has progressed into a more fuzzed-out layered rock. With confidence, the girls attack classic vocal harmonies, pairing them with distorted guitars and pop-punk melodies. Throw them in the mix with The Breeders, The Ronettes, Sleater-Kinney and The Runaways. Live, you can expect a mix of old and new hits!
The group includes Kathy Foster (drums, bass, vocals), Jen Sbragia (guitar, vocals) and New Mexico transplants Kim Baxter (guitar, keyboards, drums, vocals). Baxter played in The Young Astronauts, Cherry Ice Cream Smile and One Two; Sbragia with Pretty Face, Kissing Book, and the Softies, a duo with Tiger Trap's vocalist Rose Melberg; and Foster with Haelah, Hutch and Kathy, Subpop's The Thermals, and one-woman band, Butterfly Transformation Service.
